Circle D Farm Sales wholesale nursery offers fine quality Ponderosa Pine. When we decided to grow Ponderosa and Lodgepole Pines, we researched the market extensively. What we found was that most of these trees were being dug in the wild and a 30 to 50% mortality rate was not uncommon. This was not acceptable to us. At our Kootenai Orchards field, our Ponderosa Pines are individually fertilized and root pruned. The result is a dense, compact root system instead of a tap root or carrot type root system, which leads to greater survival and growth of our trees. The results of our Ponderosa Pines from this field have been phenomenal. Below are examples of our stock.
